Tips to get to Fernando de Noronha

The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha belongs to the state of Pernambuco, and is 545 km from Recife and 360 km from Natal. Due to the distance, the only way to get to the island is by plane.

Most visitors arrive in Noronha flying with a connection in Recife, in a flight of about 1 hour. But there are also direct flights from Natal (São Gonçalo do Amarante), Campinas (Viracopos) and São Paulo (Congonhas).

It is always good to remember that the time zone in Fernando de Noronha is 1 hour more than the time in Recife. Keep in mind that flight times are always local time.

After having to make some adjustments to the types of aircraft that fly to Fernando de Noronha, the airlines managed to overcome the number of seats and flights that were available before October 2022. Good to know that the air network to Fernando de Noronha is fully normalized.

There are currently two companies that have flights to Fernando de Noronha. The newest of them started selling tickets to Fernando de Noronha recently, for flights starting in February 2023. See below which ones they are.
